We have lived on St. Croix, the largest of the three U.S. Virgin Islands, for over 30 years.
I was raised on St. Croix, but basically lived at the beach, beach combing for treasures like sea glass, chaney and shells, and exploring sea life at the shoreline.
I grew up in retail. Since the first week we opened our store, Tesoro, I was ringing up at the cash register. I was seven years old.

Me and my pet iguana, Elvis.
While I was managing the cash register, my Dad was the social butterfly who could mingle with everyone and communicate with anyone. He loved making conversation that always made people smile! I learned that ability from him.
My Dad died when I was 23 years old, and I kept Tesoro going for 5 more years. I moved on to bartending and making costume jewelry after that.
Covid hit and bars were closed. With some kind help from friends, I got the opportunity to start using sterling silver. It has been my authentic Crucian lifestyle that has inspired my jewelry creations.
